The eternal youth? I do not think so!

Facial aging is a combination of different physiological processes that takes places at different levels of our face (from superficial to deep). The skin becomes thinner, blood vessels become visible and pores become larger. Most people, when they are young, have healthy and elastic skin that heals quickly when injured. As the years pass, visible signs of aging appear such as wrinkles, sagging skin and age spots. One of the most important chemicals in our skin, hyaluronic acid, diminishes over time and makes the skin drier and rougher. Finally, there will be changes in skin color, fat distribution and elasticity, which will also change the facial contours. These multifacet 3D changes of facial aging are best handled with a combined approach. These treatments can vary from skin moisturizers and laser treatments to wrinkle fillers and injections with temporary muscle relaxants. One helps to reduce unwanted lines of sight, the other can tighten and strengthen the skin or remove unwanted hair. We won't look young forever, that's why it's so important to take good care of our skin to keep it in the best condition.

At Velthuis clinic we recently started a joint consultation. The skin therapist and cosmetic physician will prepare a (preventive) "all-in" treatment plan for you to reduce and inhibit the signs of aging. Curious about this consultation?
